We spoke with Jessica Malan of Jenks, Oklahoma, about her experience getting her roof replaced with Messick Roofing.
When did you realize that you needed to get a roof replacement?
We had a pretty severe storm that came through and did a lot of damage in our area. And so I reached out to Grant and said, “Hey, can you come take a look?” Because I noticed I had shingles that were down, but I didn’t realize the extent of the damage that we’d actually had. So when he came out, he took the time to explain everything to us and then advise us on the best way to proceed.
What was your experience of working with Messick Roofing?
It was seamless. I was very nervous about going into the process because I’ve heard so many horror stories about roofing companies and disasters. But knowing Grant and knowing his level of professionalism, I felt confident that he would be able to guide me in the process. So I reached out to him.
He was great. He answered all of my questions over multiple days. He was a wealth of information. He suggested things that I hadn’t even thought of. We had three different options for shingles and he answered all of my questions about the companies and how long they’ve been around and their durability. And there really wasn’t a question that I had for the entire process that he didn’t have an answer to.
He was able to come out and take a look at things in a timely fashion. He was able to come out and meet with my adjuster. He sent everything to the insurance company. He took care of everything. So really, I didn’t have to do much other than make sure he got paid. So it was wonderful.
Is there anything else that you’d like to add?
I just don’t think that you can match the dedication or professionalism that you get with Messick Roofing. I’ve referred them to many people, actually. They just did our neighbor’s roof last week. Even when they’re not working on our property and they were across the street, they were waving and they were friendly. The guys are just great guys and Grant has a really good team.
They operate on a standard unlike any other. It just so happened, timing-wise, that he had an opening and I was having surgery the day after. And so he came out, made sure that the guys showed up extra early and worked really hard and got everything done in one day just so that I wouldn’t be disturbed when I came home to recover from my operation.
And it’s that kind of personalization and care that I just don’t think you find anywhere else.
